about

To herald a new year and a new era, Austin's mesmerizing doomgaze trio OSSIFER unveil their latest single, "Karst". Unfurling like a delicate sonic tapestry, the track blossoms with intricate rhythms, haunting female vocals, and ethereal guitars that echo like calls through a stoney catacomb.

lyrics

You're so
(look on my works)
predictable, you're so alone
(nothing beside remains)
So cold
(round the decay)
and ritual, you're barely holding on
You're barely holding on
(boundless and bare)

Karst and broken
kettle black
I'll leave you in the dirt
Your voice in echoes
I can't hold back
I'll leave you in the dirt

(and near them on the sand)
I'll leave you in the dirt
(half sunk and shattered lies)
your visage to the earth
(whose frown and wrinkled lip)
an avatar defaced
(and sneer of cold command)
and laid to waste

We're all that's left
of monuments that fell and rose
We're fossilized
in memories that hardened into stone
that hardened into stone

Karst and broken
kettle black
I'll leave you in the dirt
Your voice in echoes
I can't hold back
I'll leave you in the dirt
Those tired and simple lies
So we told ourselves
Couldn't shield us from the truth
It's so unspeakable
Unspeakable

Which yet survive
Stamped on these lifeless things
The hand that mocked them
And the heart that fed
Nothing beside remains
Round the decay
Boundless and bare
The level sands stretch far away

Karst and broken
kettle black
I'll leave you in the dirt
Your voice in echoes
I can't hold back
I'll leave you in the dirt
I'll leave you in the dirt
